Jeanne Isabelle Cornière

Biography

Jeanne Isabelle Cornière, painter, sculptorBorn in Paris in 1974, Jeanne Isabelle Cornière has studied History of Art at the Sorbonne (Paris), and followed in the main time the courses of the French Académie des peintres in Poissy (Paris). She improved with master classes of drawing, clay, and sculpture at the Ecole-Nationale-Supérieure-des-Beaux-Arts of Paris and the Accademia di belle Arti of Florence. She moved in Florence in 2001, where she actually lives.
Since 2006, a part of her work is inspired particularly to Japanese art in a style that operates a sort of fusion between “zen” traditional painting and modern watercolor. Using the big formats as medium, she choose nature (particularly flowers, insects and fishes) as theme of predilection in a sintetic essential style.
